"Travel is No Vacation."

That's not just what Ann Craig-Cinnamon and John Cinnamon have learned from visiting more than 120 countries, all seven continents, and all 50 U.S. states. It's also the name of their memoir. What started 30 years ago with a typical Caribbean honeymoon morphed into complicated journeys that didn't always go as planned. Whether it's being interrogated for hours by Russian security, tumbling down Namche Hill while hiking in the Himalayas, or getting stuck on Mount Kilimanjaro after becoming ill while climbing, the travel gods aren't always kind. These are just a fraction of the stories - some bad, but mostly good - that they tell in their unvarnished travel memoir, Travel is No Vacation: A Love Story. At a time when travel writing often portrays polished, picture-perfect experiences, Ann and John offer authenticity and honesty. In their warm, conversational, and humorous style, they show that travel isn't always easy, but it's always rewarding, and that the unexpected moments are often the most memorable. Travel is No Vacation: A Love Story provides inspiration for those who dream of adventure. With uplifting stories about people in lands far away, it carries a message much deeper than just a book about travel.
